Collection: Helvi Mølgaard Pedersen
Helvi Mølgaard Pedersen. Born 1943. Trained teacher and dipl. art therapist. Lives in North Jutland, Denmark.
Helvi has worked with Conversation Pictures for 35 years. Most recently in 2017, when she completed a course in Shame and Creativity at the Department of Art Therapy . In 1990, she started at Vibeke Skov and was inspired to create her first project: Imagery is something everyone understands. In collaboration with the Danish Refugee Council and the Language School in Aalborg.
Since then, she has made projects with both children and adults. In public schools, for the Public School Development Council, within special education, in the teaching of student teachers and in the further training of both teachers and pedagogues. But also in the Folkekirken, psychiatry and other social environments.
Conversation pictures increase and further develop her interest in working with the artistic expression as an extended language concept. For many years, she has learned about the value of working with Conversation Pictures as a pedagogical way of thinking and working with others. It is educational, inclusive and personally developing. The working method is inspiring, positive, healing, opening, active, reflexive, communicative, relational and useful.
Through Ida Publishing, she wants her own images to inspire others, so that they discover the value of Conversational Images and want to continue working with the method either alone or together with others. Feel free to contact: helvi@pedersen.mail.dk .
