Helvi Mølgaard Pedersen. Born 1943. Trained as a teacher and qualified art therapist. Lives in North Jutland, Denmark.

Helvi has worked with Conversation Pictures for 35 years. Most recently in 2017, when she completed a course in Shame and Creativity at the Institute for Art Therapy . In 1990, she started with Vibeke Skov and was inspired to make her first project: Picture language is something everyone understands. In collaboration with the Danish Refugee Council and the Language School in Aalborg.

Since then, she has done projects with both children and adults. In public schools, for the Public Schools Development Council, within special education, in teaching student teachers and in further education for both teachers and educators. But also in the Danish Church, psychiatry and other social environments.

Conversation Pictures increases and further develops her interest in working with artistic expression as an expanded linguistic concept. For many years she has learned about the value of working with Conversation Pictures as a pedagogical way of thinking and working with others. It is educational, inclusive and personally developing. The working method is inspiring, positive, healing, opening, active, reflective, communicative, relational and useful. That is why I make Conversation Pictures .
